Introduction to the Play
Boudica by Tristan Bernays is a bold, fast-paced retelling of the legendary Iceni queen’s
uprising against Roman rule in Britain.
As Boudica and her daughters rally the tribes to rebellion, the play explores power, resistance, and the price of defying an empire.
Production Information
• We will be performing Boudica at Flag Fen Archaeology Park in July, with five outdoor evening performances.
• The play will feature stage combat, warpaint, and an original musical score.
• We are casting gender-blind for most roles (with a few key exceptions such as Boudica).
• You must be a Mask Theatre member to take part, but membership is not required to audition.
A huge thank you to Flag Fen Archaeology Park for helping us film the promotional video and for allowing us to use their incredible venue to stage Boudica this summer.
