Peterborough Mask Theatre return for our outdoor Summer performance of
Boudica
by Tristan Berneys
10th and 11th July 2026
16th, 17th, 18th July 2026
Be prepared to be transported back to Britannia in the year AD61, a country under occupation at the far western edge of the mighty Roman Empire.
Boudica, by Tristan Bernays, is a fast-paced, modern retelling of the legendary uprising led by the Iceni queen against Roman rule in Britain.
Blending sharp humour with epic storytelling, the play follows Boudica and her daughters as they rally fractured tribes to challenge the might of Rome.
With a small cast playing many roles, the story moves swiftly between battles, politics, and personal moments of courage and doubt.
At its heart, the play explores power, resistance, identity, and the cost of rebellion.
Dynamic, physical, and theatrical, Boudica brings ancient history vividly to life for a contemporary audience.
This production contains strong language and adult themes. We recommend that it is suitable for ages from 14+, with parental guidance.
This is an outdoor performance, please bring your own chair or blanket to sit on.
The cafe will be open for light refreshments...or feel free to bring a picnic.
Boudica is an amateur production by arrangement with Nick Hern Books
Tickets: £17 (Standard) £14 (Concessions)
