Given the current climate in which we find ourselves, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone this summer’s production of Romeo and Juliet for the foreseeable future.

Government guidance continues to promote social distancing in order to limit the spread of COVID-19, and we as a company must do our part to encourage this. It would be irresponsible to rehearse and perform in such uncertain times, and we cannot risk the health of our actors, crew or audiences.

This is most definitely a postponement rather than cancellation. Once we return to some semblance of normality and begin to rebuild, Mask Theatre will be prioritising new dates for Romeo and Juliet. We have the utmost confidence that the show will most definitely go on, and we will keep you informed of any further information as it is available.

For those who have already purchased tickets, we will be in touch as soon as possible to arrange refunds or, alternatively, the option to move your ticket(s) to a future performance once these have been scheduled.

Above all, we thank you for your continued support. We appreciate what a distressing time this is, and how much of an escape the theatre can offer; something that has made this decision even harder. We encourage you to keep an eye on your social media channels as Mask Theatre hope to harness the power of technology to spread a little bit of joy over the coming weeks and months.

Keep safe, and look after one another. We hope to see you again very soon.
